Assassin’s Creed Mirage Leak Validates Presence of Microtransaction Packs

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Leak Validates Presence of Microtransaction Packs

Ubisoft’s upcoming release, “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” is scheduled for launch on October 12th of this year. Anticipation is running high among fans, particularly since the previous entry in the Assassin’s Creed series was introduced two years ago.

Ubisoft has unveiled a range of information about the game, encompassing developer interviews, gameplay videos, and an array of supplementary materials. These comprehensive details have elicited a notable degree of optimism within the community.

Nevertheless, despite the generally positive reception of the disclosed information, a recent leak has emerged, introducing an element of concern. The leak has unveiled that “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” will incorporate microtransaction packs.

This insightful revelation has been brought to light by @xj0nathan, who took to Twitter to share a revealing image that strongly suggests the integration of in-game transactions within the gaming experience. The shared image reveals the presence of the Fire Demon Pack, a fiery sword, and an apparent cosmetic package that bestows Basim with demonic-style armor.

While the original post has been removed from Twitter, it was captured and subsequently shared by a Redditor named u/KvasirTheOld on the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours.

The inclusion of microtransactions has already been noted in recent additions to the Assassin’s Creed series, including titles like Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins. Ubisoft has embraced a strategy that encompasses not only purchasable cosmetic options but also avenues for expediting player progress.

Fans have held expectations that the new game would veer away from the trend of locking gear behind microtransactions. Their hope has been for all equipment to be obtainable through the core gameplay experience.

It has also been revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be accessible on various platforms, encompassing Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Windows, and Amazon Luna.
