Activision unveiled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 earlier this month. They released a trailer that offered a glimpse of the game and hinted at the return of Makarov.
The game comes with a captivating single-player campaign that immerses players in a gripping narrative. Alongside the campaign, players can also dive into a multiplayer mode that features all 16 maps from the 2009 title, ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.’
After a period of anticipation and promotional activities, the game has made a comeback with an exciting new segment of campaign gameplay showcased at Gamescom 2023.
The recently revealed footage lasts for nearly 9 minutes and provides a substantial preview of the opening mission of the game. It showcases the initial stage of Operation 627, starting in the Kastovian Sea where the alpha team attacks an enemy base at night. It ends with players breaking open a door, but we don’t know what they’re looking for yet.
The video presents a dim and atmospheric environment, highlighting impressive lighting effects. During the mission, players can use things they are familiar with, like grappling hooks and night vision goggles.
The way this game looks and how it’s played appears to have evolved from what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 started.
Furthermore, a significant Call of Duty event named Call of Duty Next is scheduled for October 5th. It will focus on highlighting the game’s multiplayer features and will also include a live broadcast where updates about Call of Duty’s mobile games will be revealed.
The event will also prepare players for the beta version of the game, which starts on October 6th. The first weekend of the beta will be exclusive to people who own a PlayStation console. However, starting from October 12th, players with Xbox and PC will also be able to join and play the game.
